Fins & Forks was created during the pandemic by chef, fisherman and sustainable seafood advocate, Michael King.
A place where fishing meets food, the business has 3 main facets. 'Bait to Plate' experiences, the smokehouse, and the Chef's Table.
Michael has been a professional chef for over 2 decades and has worked all over the world with some incredibly talented people. During his time in the kitchen he has had the honour of cooking for numerous world leaders, VIP's, and royalty.
A passionate (and somewhat obsessive) angler since childhood Michael has always loved the challenge of trying to catch something himself and turn it into something special on the plate. Outside of work he continues to chase that elusive first place in the 'All England Squid Fishing Championships'
From our home at the beautiful Sompting Estate in the heart of the South Downs National Park we are delighted to work in partnership with some of Sussex and its neighbouring counties best brands and talented individuals. Our trout is sourced from Chalkstream foods just down the road in Hampshire.
We are all about locality, quality, seasonality & above all else... sustainability.
